Introduction
If you're someone who likes to explore the great outdoors, especially during low light conditions while hiking or walking, a safety light can be an invaluable tool to have. Apart from helping you avoid tripping hazards around your campsite, it can also alert passing cars about your presence if you're walking along a road at night. In case of an emergency, a safety light can help signal your location to rescue services, which is especially crucial if you're a hiker.
Olight Gober Rechargeable Safety/Signal Light is an essential tool with a variety of functions. Equipped with two small lights, this compact device helps enhance visibility for both you and your pet during nighttime use. It also offers four different light colors and various flashing and steady modes, all controlled through a convenient one-push button. GOBER's opposite side features a USB-C charging port and attachment points for brackets and backpack clips.

Batteries and charging
Each of the lights has a built-in LiPO battery. It is 240mAh Built-in rechargeable Li-ion battery with 28 hours max runtime. Light up one by one and you can double the runtime. That should provide a quite reasonable runtime based on the low levels available from the Gober.
A convenient USB-C charging port brings you a fast charging experienceFully charged in about 1.5 hours. To get to this port, you need to detach the light from the keychain base.
Lighting modes
The GOBER comes equipped with three distinct lighting modes. Firstly, the constant-on mode has a runtime of 11 hours when the light is illuminated for a single period. Secondly, the flashing mode can run for 21.5 hours, and finally, the SOS mode has a runtime of 25 hours. All modes have an identical lumen output of 4 lumens.
Constant-on mode: The constant-on and flashing modes are particularly useful for marking the location of a pet or person while hiking in low-light or dusk settings.
Four lighting colors in one unit are able to indicate different groupings and enable quick identification.
SOS: The SOS mode can serve as an emergency signal for help if an individual is injured. Additionally, I believe that the SOS mode could assist in warning approaching vehicles if a person is working near a broken-down vehicle.
Led and Beam
Users can select from five different light colors when using the GOBER lights. The first four options are red, green, blue, and white, and can be used in both constant-on and flashing modes.
The fifth color is an RGB transitioning pattern that includes red, green, and blue. It is important to note that this pattern is only available in constant-on mode. Additionally, it is worth mentioning that when the lights are set to SOS mode, they will automatically switch to the red color.
How to operate
A simple button on the top of the light controls all the light colors and light modes.
State | Action | Result |
Off | Click | No result |
Off | Hold | On (Mode Memory) |
On | Click | Mode advance (White > RGB mix > Red > Green > Blue) |
On | Double-click | Iterate steady and blinking output for that color |
On | Triple-click | SOS in red |
SOS | Click or double-click | Previous mode |
In addition to the two GOBER lights, the kit includes a holder that serves multiple purposes. As previously mentioned, the first purpose of the holder is to connect and hold both GOBER lights, preventing them from getting lost before use.
Secondly, the holder can hold an Apple AirTag for location tracking, which requires disassembling and reassembling it with the provided screwdriver. Finally, the holder can be used to attach a GOBER to a "D" shackle and carabiner, offering another way to mark a dog's location during a hiking trip on a trail.
Retention and Carry
HANDY CARABINER: With the handy carabiner, you can easily attach the light to your backpack for better visibility.
The light is designed to help your pets be easily located in the dark. It is built with high-quality materials, making it waterproof and capable of performing well in any weather conditions, while also being compact and lightweight.
SIMPLE CLIP FOR SAFETY: It can be attached using the backpack clip to your backpack or belt, or to a harness or leash. Makes yourself more visible by simply clipping the light to your backpack or attaching it to a harness to make your pets easily be found in the dark.
